Junior Achievement's prestigious Education Leadership School Award
Superintendent Dr. Janell Logue-Belden and assistant superintendent Mrs. Bobbi-Ann Barnes accepted Junior Achievement's prestigious Education Leadership School Award on behalf of Curtisville Primary Center and Deer Lakes School District at that organization's 77th annual meeting held earlier this evening at the Westin hotel in downtown Pittsburgh.
The Scribe is the official student achievement magazine of the Deer Lakes School District. Articles and photos are mostly written/taken by the communications director but outside contributions can also be allowed. The publication is issued at least once per year and is designed and edited in-house and locally printed.
The primary purpose of The Scribe is to summarize some of the major happenings and achievements happening within our school district. People follow their local schools in many different ways. For some, the school district website is their go-to source of information. For others, social media is their primary connection to the school district. However, for many others, especially people who do not have children in our schools, they follow the district through newspaper articles, word of mouth, and through publications like this one.
For that reason, The Scribe is mailed to area homes to ensure all district taxpayers have an equal opportunity to learn about the significant events and remarkable achievements occurring within our school district every single day.
Readers are always invited to suggest article topics and/or provide feedback as part of the district's ongoing efforts to connect with staff, students, and the community.
Enjoy reading about the district's great successes and its many initiatives!
